PMBC is hosting its first-ever 2018 United Nations Procurement Day, providing the UN and its affiliate organizations the opportunity to identify potential suppliers for current and future sourcing opportunities.
The UN and its affiliates annually spend approximately $18 billion globally, with more than $3 billion of that spend occurring in the United States with qualified and capable suppliers. This opportunity represents a significant opportunity for Michigan companies to explore opportunities to supply the UN global network across several industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Healthcare, IT/Cyber Security and many more, and will equip participants both with the proper knowledge to secure new bids as well as direct, in person conversations with decisions makers who can provide key insight on potential opportunities.
The summit will feature an educational morning session in which representatives from the 4 participating UN affiliates will present to Michigan companies on how to get a leg up in bidding on new business with the UN. The afternoon will feature 1:1 meetings based on the commodity areas represented in this application. Companies completing this application will be eligible to attend, as well as interact directly with select purchasers that will be responsible for identifying suppliers for current and future opportunities. The collective objective for this collaboration will be new bid opportunities and new contracts for Michigan companies.
The 2018 UN Procurement Day will take place on August 23rd, 2018 at the GEM Theatre in Detroit, Michigan.
