Détroit is the New Black. has partnered with Pure Michigan Business Connect to launch an accelerator program in an effort to find new local talent and support the development of emerging brands. This program is ideal for growing makers who could benefit from testing their product in a brick-and-mortar space in Detroit’s downtown retail market. Whether your brand is established or growing we want to see what you’ve got!
A panel of judges will review applications biannually to select 10-15 brands to participate in the 3 month-long experience. Selected winners will walk away with mentorship, sales training, merchandising and product marketing, actual revenue from their product, and facilitated connections to experts in the industry.

Before you apply, please note:
- All information should be accurate and verifiable
- Bi-annual applications are open
> October 1 - December 10, 2021
January - March Cohort and April - June Cohort
> March 1 - May 10, 2022
July - September Cohort and October - December Cohort
- Duration of participation: 3 months
- 2-4 Brands per Quarter
- Brand will receive 100 % of their profits for all sales // Payout is made during the first week of the month prior to sales.
