Webinar: Doing Business with USDA Forest Service Primes

<strong>Are you a business interested in working on USDA Forest Service projects?</strong><br>

The Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) enacted into law in 2020, gave the USDA Forest Service new opportunities to deliver benefits to the American public through major investments in recreation infrastructure, public lands access, and land and water conservation. These investments will enable communities to Build Back Better by contributing to economic growth and job creation in rural America. <br>

With additional funding to address significant maintenance needs, the Forest Service has collaborated with the Department of Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service to award many high-value IDIQ contracts with the following in-scope work: <ul><li><strong>Alterations, repairs, and new construction on civil projects (roads/bridges/etc.)</strong></li><li><strong>Mechanical and electrical projects</strong></li><li><strong>Building projects</strong></li></ul>

Categories of work anticipated within these in-scope areas are trades associated with bridges, buildings, communication systems, dams, heritage, miscellaneous recreation features, roads, trails, trail bridges, wastewater, and water projects. <br>

Businesses interested in learning more about opportunities to work on projects with the Department of Interior (DOI) and Forest Service (FS) are invited to a <strong>virtual</strong> session that will provide an overview of subcontracting opportunities with DOI and FS Prime Contractors.<br>

Join the Forest Service, Northwest Michigan Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) on Wednesday, May 11 at 10:30am to learn how qualified subcontractors can market services to each of the prime contractors for project work in their areas of interest.<br>

During registration, you will be asked to upload a capability statement for your company if you are a business looking to connect with the prime contractors. If you do not have a capability statement, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) are available to help prepare or update one. You can find your local PTAC by using the following link: https://www.dla.mil/Small-Business/PTAP/All-Locations/.
We encourage you to reach out to a PTAC representative for assistance in preparing your capability statement that you can submit at a later date to any prime contractors who may be interested in learning more about your company, if you are not able to submit with registration. Having a capability statement will provide the primes with the best information on your qualifications, which may be used in their selections of businesses to discuss subcontracting projects.
