Are you a Michigan supplier interested in doing business with Kent County? Join the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) team and the Kent County Purchasing Division for a no-cost Kent County Purchasing & Business Networking Event. This event includes several opportunities to meet with Kent County and engage in informational networking with Kent County business resource partners. Kent County will focus on a variety of commercial and residential construction; over $21,000,000 in construction contractor opportunities is anticipated over the next four years, and other business opportunities with the County; The event will be held in-person at the DeVos Convention Center in Grand Rapids, a virtual attendance option will also be available.<br>

Kent County is located in West Michigan and seeks a qualified and diverse vendor database to provide goods and services. Businesses do NOT need to be in West Michigan to participate; opportunities are open to statewide businesses.<br>

The County is looking to add qualified vendors in the following trades:<br>
<ul><li>Administrative, Financial & Management Services</li><li>Residential and Construction Services</li><li>Asbestos & Lead Abatement Services</li><li>Excavating Services</li><li>Heavy Industrial Equipment</li><li>Janitorial Services</li><li>Lawn Care Services</li><li>Paving & Striping Services</li><li>Skilled Trade Services (roofers, masons, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc.)</li><li>Communication Equipment & Services</li></ul>

However, opportunities are not limited to these service categories. Kent County is also interested in learning about other supplier service/product capabilities.<br>

<u>Event Highlights</u>:<br>

1. Attend meetings with Kent County staff on construction and other business opportunities with Kent County. The meetings will focus on business opportunities, certifications, requirements to do business with Kent County, and Federal contracts.<br>
<br>
2. Kent County’s Community Action will provide guidance and answer questions regarding the U.S. Department of Energy’s “Weatherization Assistance for Low-Income Persons” program pursuant to Title IV, Part A of the Energy Conservation and Production Act of 1976, 42 USC 6861-6873, as amended.<br>
<br>
3. Business Resource Partners: Business resource professionals will provide guidance and answer questions on resources available for you to grow your business!<br>
<br>
4. Vendor Networking: Meet individually with business resource partners and business chambers in a networking conference area.<br>
<br>
5. Kent County Departments and Services: Meet individually with Kent County Departments including<br>
Community Action, Health Department, Human Resources, Parks Department, Public Works, Purchasing, and Sheriff's Office in a networking conference room.<br>

ACCOMMODATIONS: Free parking at DeVos and light refreshments will be provided.<br>
